About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team. The CFO will be a strategic partner, providing financial leadership and stewardship to ensure the long-term fiscal health of the organization. This role is pivotal in developing and implementing financial and administrative strategies that align with the company's mission and goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for all financial functions, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance. They will also serve as the primary liaison to the Finance and Audit Committees, ensuring strong governance and sound financial decision-making. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a minimum of 10-15 years' of progressive financial leadership experience, with a strong background in managing finances for nonprofit trade associations or membership organizations. Direct experience with both 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(6) entities is essential, as is a proven track record in budgeting, managing external audits, and building financial infrastructure. The role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights. A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required, and a CPA is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a collaborative leadership style, a customer-service mindset, and a commitment to supporting internal stakeholders and members.
