We also offer company-provided short-term disability, an employee assistance program, and a wellness program.Position Overview:The Payroll Practitioner II is responsible for processing biweekly, multi-state payroll in a high-volume environment while ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. This role audits payroll data, reviews automated payroll outputs, and processes off-cycle payments, including termination and retroactive payments, as needed.Job Responsibilities:Prepare and process biweekly, multi-state payroll for more than 9,000 employees, ensuring accurate and timely payroll administration in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.Audit payroll data for accuracy including timekeeping records, earnings, deductions, taxes, and benefits.Maintain accurate employee payroll records and ensure proper documentation for all payroll related transactions.Inspect automated payroll system outputs such as payroll registers to verify accuracy.Process off-cycle payments, including terminations and retroactive payments, as needed.Oversee daily mail distribution.Support internal and external audit activities by gathering required payroll documentation including employee pay slips, payroll records, etc.Research and resolve all payroll discrepancies and payroll related inquiries in a timely manner.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws, wage and hour regulations, and CCM policies.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications and Skills:Associate’s degree and/or equivalent combination of education/experience.FPC or CPP Designation, preferred. 2+ years of payroll processing experience in a high-volume, multistate environment.Experience with Workday Payroll, preferred.Advanced knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll rules and regulations.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.Excellent communication skills.Skilled at prioritizing tasks and multitasking effectively.Skilled at maintaining flexibility and productivity while managing frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).This job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the job and the general nature and level of work performed by job holders within this job.
