Accounts Receivable / Collections Specialist

Location: Glen Allen, VA

Pay $20.00-$23.00 Hourly

Schedule: Full-Time

Adecco is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable / Collections Specialist to support a busy accounting team. This role is responsible for managing customer accounts, collecting outstanding payments, resolving billing issues, and maintaining accurate account records.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor customer accounts and follow up on overdue invoices.

Contact customers by phone and email regarding outstanding balances.

Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues.

Apply and reconcile payments within the accounting system.

Review aging reports and perform account reconciliations.

Partner with internal teams to resolve account disputes.

Prepare collection and account status reports.

Support month-end closing and audit requests.

Qualifications

2+ years of Accounts Receivable, Collections, or accounting experience.

Experience managing high-volume customer accounts.

Strong knowledge of account reconciliation and collections processes.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
