Fiber Technician

Fiber Technicians Or Cable TechsSiter-Neubauer & Associates is currently conducting searches for Fiber Technicians or Cable Techs to assist with fiber testing (no splicing) at data centers across the U.S. This is a travel-based role with assignments that typically run up to two weeks at a time. You'll work hands-on with tools like OTDRs and power meters to test and verify dark fiber connections—no splicing required.If you have basic experience with cable, low-voltage, or electronics, and you’re open to life on the road, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain field experience and grow in the fiber optics space. Training provided.Responsibilities:Test dark fiber inside major U.S. data centersTravel to various job sites across the U.S.Follow safety protocols and standard operating proceduresQualifications:Experience in cable, low-voltage, or electronics preferredComfortable using test tools (OTDR, power meter, etc.)Able to read labels, trace fiber, and identify server racksMust be able to work independently in the fieldValid U.S. driver’s license; able to pass drug and background checksCompensation and Benefits:$50/day per diem for mealsHourly pay, paid weekly.
