CNC Programmer

Job Description

A growing precision manufacturing company is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join its machining team. This is a hands-on role responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality precision components. The ideal candidate will take ownership of the entire machining process-from interpreting engineering drawings and programming parts to setup, proving out programs, and final production-while working closely with the CNC machining team.


Responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs using Edgecam based on engineering drawings and specifications.
  
  
• Program, set up, and operate CNC machines to produce precision components.
  
  
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models.
  
  
• Make program edits and optimize machining processes for efficiency and quality.
  
  
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve machining challenges.
  
  
• Perform machine setups and prove out new CNC programs.
  
  
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  
  
• Stay current with machining technologies and continuously improve programming methods.
  
  
• Work overtime or additional hours as production demands require.
  
  

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a CNC Programmer in a manufacturing environment.
  
  
• Strong proficiency with Edgecam and SolidWorks .
  
  
• Experience with CNC milling, turning, and drilling operations.
  
  
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
  
  
• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D quality standards.
  
  
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
  
  
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  
  
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical machining education is a plus.
  
  
• Hands-on machining experience required.
  
  
• Ability to lift materials and work in a production environment.
