Assembler PositionHamilton Connections is seeking candidates for assembler positions at a manufacturing company in New Milford CT. These are temp-to-hire positions. The hours are 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. The salary is $18-$24 an hour, based on experience. Candidates with senior level and leadership experience will be considered at a higher rate.Job Responsibilities:Perform basic to complex assembly operations according to established work instructions and standard workRead and follow basic assembly instructions, drawings, specifications, and proceduresSafely operate hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and other equipment required for assigned workPerform required in-process and final inspectionsIdentify defects, abnormalities, or process issues and notify the appropriate lead or supervisorAssist less-experienced assemblers with routine technical questions when appropriateMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaFollow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirementsProperly handle materials, components, tools and finished productsComplete required production and quality documentation accuratelyMeet established quality and productivity expectations as proficiency developsParticipate in training and demonstrate willingness to learn additional assembly processesWork cooperatively with team members and accept coaching and feedbackDemonstrate reliable attendance and professional work behaviorOther duties as assignedJob Requirements:Manufacturing and/or assembly experienceAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsMechanical aptitude and ability to learn assembly processesProficiency using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and measuring equipmentAbility to read and understand work instructions and assembly drawingsAbility to maintain attention to detail during repetitive workAbility to recognize and report quality concernsAbility to follow safety and quality requirementsReliable attendance and punctualityAbility to work independentlyAbility to stand and work for extended periodsAbility to perform repetitive hand and arm movementsAbility to lift and move materials within established company requirementsAbility to visually inspect components and completed assembliesAbility to pass pre-employment screenings
