Inventory Warehouse Associate (Receiving Focus)The Inventory Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, inspecting, organizing, and maintaining inventory within the warehouse. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate stock levels, timely processing of incoming shipments, and efficient warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in receiving and inventory control processes.Key ResponsibilitiesReceiving & InspectionReceive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders and packing slipsInspect goods for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report any issues promptlyAccurately record received items into inventory systemsLabel, tag, and properly store incoming productsInventory ControlMaintain accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle countsAssist with full physical inventory audits as requiredMonitor inventory levels and notify supervisors of shortages or overstockEnsure proper stock rotation (FIFO, LIFO as applicable)Warehouse OrganizationStore products in designated areas for easy retrieval and inventory accuracyMaintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environmentAssist with rearranging warehouse layout to optimize space and efficiencyShipping & General Warehouse SupportAssist in picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment when neededOperate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucksFollow all company safety procedures and guidelinesQualificationsRequiredHigh school diploma or equivalent1+ years of warehouse experience, preferably in receiving or inventory controlBasic knowledge of inventory management systems and data entryAbility to read and interpret shipping documents (BOLs, packing slips, invoices)Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periodsPreferredForklift certification (or willingness to obtain)Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP softwarePrevious experience in high-volume distribution environmentsSkills & CompetenciesStrong accuracy and attention to detailTime management and ability to meet deadlinesProblem-solving and discrepancy resolutionTeam-oriented with good communication skillsBasic computer proficiency (email, inventory software, spreadsheets)Work EnvironmentWarehouse setting with exposure to varying temperaturesFrequent standing, walking, bending, and liftingUse of machinery and equipment as needed
