Aerospace Manufacturing Jobs, Wichita, KSAssembly MechanicLocation: Wichita, KSMax Aerostructures is seeking a highly-skilled Assembly Mechanic to join our growing team in Wichita, Kansas. Applicants must demonstrate they have the ambition, strong work ethic, knowledge and technical aptitude to perform a variety of assembly functions according to detailed specifications and meet strict quality requirements.QualificationsMinimum of three years of experience in aircraft/aerospace manufacturing assembly (experience with complicated and varied assemblies required)Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, specifications and other work instructionsHigh level of experience with layout and drilling of holes, installation of fasteners, bearings, bushings, countersink, etc.Experience with the application of sealants, primers, paints, cleaning agents, hand and power tools used in assembly processesEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of three years assembly experience required (four to five years of experience is preferred)Must have a strong work ethic, drive to achieve high levels of performance and can demonstrate a detail-oriented nature and on-time attendance dependabilityPhysical RequirementsMust be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as well as stand, sit, bend, kneel, squat and walk on a regular basisMust have excellent hand-eye coordinationMust wear gloves, eye and ear protection and adhere to safety procedures at all timesApplicants must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.Culture and EnvironmentTeamwork, creativity and collaborationSuggestions and ideas are heard.Work-life balance is valued.Clean and climate-controlled environmentModern and spacious breakroom with many food and beverage optionsPay and BenefitsCompetitive wagesHealth, Dental and Vision Insurance with generous employer premium contributions401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matchPaid time off and paid holidaysShort-term Disability and Long-term DisabilityLife insuranceGym membership discountEmployee assistance programChristmas club savings accountReferral bonuses
