Maintenance Technician

Job Full Description

The Machine Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing injection molding equipment and facility systems to ensure safe and efficient operation. This role requires strong electrical and mechanical skills, along with the ability to work independently and support production needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system issues to minimize downtime.
• Work with DC drives and control systems; experience with 480-volt systems is highly preferred.
• Use diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and hand tools to identify and resolve equipment problems.
• Maintain and repair facility systems as needed.
• Become familiar with a variety of equipment across the facility to support ongoing operations.
• Collaborate with production and other team members to ensure equipment performance and safety.
• Follow company safety policies and maintenance best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong electrical background with proven troubleshooting ability.
• Experience working with industrial machinery, preferably in plastics injection molding.
• Knowledge of DC drives and electrical controls (480V experience a plus).
• Ability to use testing instruments such as meters, gauges, and diagnostic tools.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to interact effectively and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new equipment and systems.

Work Environment

• Manufacturing facility with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
• Must be able to stand, lift, and perform physical tasks as required.
• HOURS: Monday - Friday
