Full-Time Bilingual Medical ReceptionistTownsen Memorial Imaging - Humble is looking for a Full-Time Bilingual Medical Receptionist to join our team! The Medical Receptionist is responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, performing clerical duties, and providing medical procedural support. The Medical Receptionist exhibits professionalism while answering inquiries and providing information to the general public, visitors, patients, and other interested parties regarding activities conducted at the establishment and location of departments, offices, and employees within the organization.Essential Functions:Greet patients as they arrive at facility and provide appropriate informationEnsures all vendors and visitors are signed in and processed according to facility policyAssist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation, ensure completeness and accuracyUpdate patients' information into database and logs all demographics in EMR systemMaintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information into e-clinicalObtain revenue by recording and updating financial information, recording and collecting patient chargesMove patients through appointments as scheduled, notify provider of patient arrivalAnswer telephone, assist with inquiries, direct calls and messages to appropriate medical office staffRespond and comply to requests for information including sending faxes and e-mailsUpdate appointment calendars, schedule and reschedule patients' appointmentsSupport medical staff by completing administrative requirementsCall patients and remind them of their appointmentsKeep patients' family's informed of patient statusManage filing and record keeping activitiesCreate and label appropriate charts for patient's, obtain all necessary documents related to the patient chartEnsure reception area is well maintained, neat and clean, including the magazinesFollow all safety rules, report all accidents promptly and corrects minor safety hazardsCommunicate with peers and management regarding any hazards identified in the workplaceAdhere to the company standards of business conduct, and protect patient and family privacy rightsMaintain confidentiality of patient records in accordance with policy, procedure and HIPAA requirementsReport statistics as requiredCoordinates mail flow in and out of officeMaintain stock of forms and office suppliesPerforms other related duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette, communicates professionally with patientsDemonstrates Customer Service Standards (smiles and makes eye contact, greets each patient and visitor, seeks out patient and visitor contact, always displays appropriate body language, take 5 minutes each day to go above and beyond for one patient or visitor, honor diversity and thanks each customer/patient)Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures, office procedures and terminologyKnowledge of systems such as word processing, managing files and recordsKnowledge of computer, proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and WordStrong attention to detail, careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasksAbility to maintain composure, keep emotions in check, control anger and avoid aggressive behaviorAbility to maintain efficiency in high stress situations, accept criticism, remain calm interactAbility to adapt with flexibility, open to change (positive or negative) and to considerable variety in the workplaceAbility to work independently, guide oneself with little or no supervision and get things doneAbility to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flowDemonstrates polished patient interaction skills, organizational skills, multitasking and task-oriented skillsAbility to complete additional educational requirements as assigned by due datesEducation and Experience:High School diploma or GEDOne (1) year of experience in medical office settingBasic Life Support (BLS) certified or must be obtained within thirty (30) days of hireBenefits:3 Medical Plans2 Dental Plans2 Vision PlansEmployee Assistant ProgramShort and Long-Term Disability InsuranceAccidental Death & Dismemberment Plan401(k) with a 2-year vestingPTO + Holidays
