Job SummaryThe CompanyMacdonald & Company is proudly partnered with a national multifamily real estate developer that is seeking to hire a Senior Director of Development to oversee all developments & redevelopments. This firm currently has ~4000 of multifamily units in its portfolio, and have an appetite to increase the portfolio in Arizona. The group now seek a talented developer to identify and oversee multiple active projects across Arizona and surrounding markets.The PositionResponsible for overseeing the growth of a branch office, focused on ground-up multifamily development and Co-GP partnerships within the Arizona market. Accountable for managing overall profitability, including responsibilities such as project identification, conceptual development, planning, permitting, market and financial evaluations, securing financing, leasing, design coordination, and construction management to ensure the successful execution of full-cycle multifamily real estate developments or redevelopments.Lead acquisition, feasibility, and development processeIdentify and analyze potential sites and opportunitiesNegotiate acquisitions and joint venturesOversee financial modeling and investment analysisManage project executionDirect development planning and team managementCoordinate with consultants, contractors, and stakeholdersEnsure timely completion within budget and quality standardsOversee financing and legal aspectsSource and negotiate debt financing, including public incentivesPrepare investment committee packagesManage due diligence and closing activitiesDrive marketing and leasing strategiesDevelop and implement marketing plans & negotiate lease agreementsProvide leadership and mentorshipGuide and supervise team membersFacilitate interdepartmental collaborationParticipate in senior leadership and investment committeesMaintain operational excellenceEstablish department goals, budgets, and standardsManage pipeline and staffingEnsure adherence to company values and processesSupport strategic initiativesContribute to market analysis and business development & serve as a resource for other departments
