Position Overview The company is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to help manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is ideal for someone who has developed a strong foundation as a Project Engineer and is ready to take on greater ownership of project coordination, financial management, and client communication. Working alongside experienced Project Managers and Superintendents, you'll play a key role in delivering successful projects while continuing to grow into a Project Manager position. Project & Company Highlights Commercial projects ranging from $20K to $15M Mix of ground-up and renovation projects Diverse portfolio including commercial, municipal, retail, restaurant, and multifamily All projects located within the Greater St. Louis Metro Area Strong mentorship from senior leadership Collaborative, team-first culture with long-term career growth opportunities Key Responsibilities Assist in managing commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and project documentation Support project scheduling, procurement, and buyout activities Track budgets, change orders, and project costs Review drawings, specifications, and construction documents Participate in owner, architect, and subcontractor meetings Support quality control, safety compliance, and project closeout Help ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget Requirements Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred 2-5 years of commercial construction experience with a General Contractor Experience supporting or managing ground-up and/or renovation commercial projects Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction software is a plus Desire to continue growing into a Project Manager role Equal Opportunity Employer Tiello is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
