# Job Opportunity – NICU Registered Nurse – Virginia

Start Date: November 9, 2026

Location: Virginia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 36 or 48 hours per week, 13 or 26-week contract available. Required to work 3 weekends per 6-week scheduling period and 2 out of 3 winter holidays. Float assignments within scope of practice to PICU, Pediatrics, Postpartum, and Labor & Delivery.

Highlights:

• 54-bed Level III/IV NICU with comprehensive neonatal care including high-acuity patients
• Patient ratios: 1:1 or 1:2 for ICU; 1:3 for stepdown
• Epic EMR experience required
• 36-hour orientation period provided
• Interdisciplinary team support including Respiratory Services, Physical Therapy, Pharmacy, and more
• Advanced technology including ECMO, Arctic Sun cooling, Drager ventilators, and high-frequency ventilation

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of full-time Level III NICU experience required; Level IV highly preferred
• Active Virginia RN license (pending licenses accepted, must be in hand by Wednesday before start date)
• BLS and NRP certifications required at time of submission
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certificate required (can be pending at submission)
• Epic charting system experience required
• Strong clinical expertise with high-frequency ventilators, conventional ventilators, iNO, tracheostomy care, NIPPV/NIMV, CPAP/BiPAP, IV fluid management including drips, hemodynamic support, post-op care, whole body cooling, and umbilical line care
• Proficiency in IV placements, lab draws (heel and venous), wound/drain/line care, ostomy care, and medication calculations
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• BSN preferred
