Job Description

The Haley Stevens for Michigan campaign is seeking a Finance Assistant for the 2026 campaign cycle to assist in our strong and growing fundraising program. The Finance Assistant will be an integral part of the Finance Team and will help with tasks ranging from developing and executing in-state fundraising events, to conducting donor research, and assisting with the preparation for the candidate's call time.

Responsibilities:

• Researching prospective donors and preparing for the candidate's call time.
• Assisting with the development and execution of fundraising events, managing internal tracking, drafting and sending invitations, creating invitation universes, staffing events, and more.
• Assist with the call time program by prepping calls, prospecting donors, and conducting pledge follow-up.
• Assist the finance team in staffing events around the state
• Cultivate, build, and maintain relationships with MI donors and political stakeholders
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and produce results.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Access to cell phone, laptop, a valid driver's license, and reliable transportation.

Helpful qualifications:

• Previous campaign or fundraising experience (including volunteer or internship experience)
• Experience using ActBlue and / or NGP
• Ties to Michigan are a plus but not required.

Logistics:

• Salary: $4,000 / month
• Location: Detroit, MI
• Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental
• Hours: Full time position. This position's schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign and point in the cycle, and is likely to require evening and weekend work over the course of the election cycle.
