The ideal candidate is a passionate hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, develops high-performing teams, and consistently delivers results.Why Join Round Barn Hotel?As part of the Marriott family and managed by Radiate Hospitality, you'll have the opportunity to grow your career while working alongside a team that values authenticity, collaboration, innovation, and exceptional service.Benefits & PerksMarriott Worldwide Travel DiscountsCareer Growth and Advancement OpportunitiesInternal Promotion OpportunitiesEmployee Recognition ProgramsReferral Bonus OpportunitiesPaid Sick TimeEmployee Meal DiscountsSupportive and Collaborative Team CulturePosition SummaryThe Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the hotel, ensuring all departments consistently deliver outstanding guest service while meeting financial, operational, and quality objectives.This role provides leadership to Rooms & Food and Beverage division while partnering with hotel leadership to maximize guest satisfaction, enhance employee engagement, and achieve revenue and profitability goals.Essential ResponsibilitiesOperational LeadershipProvide daily leadership and oversight for hotel operations.Ensure all departments consistently deliver exceptional guest service and operational excellence.Champion guest satisfaction initiatives and monitor service scores and online reputation performance.Maintain compliance with Marriott brand standards, company policies, and operating procedures.Support department leaders in driving accountability, productivity, and service excellence.Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally while ensuring complete guest satisfaction.Team Leadership & DevelopmentLead, coach, mentor, and develop hotel associates and supervisors.Foster a positive, engaging, and service-focused culture.Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training initiatives.Partner with Human Resources to improve employee retention, engagement, and development.Conduct performance reviews, coaching sessions, and development planning.Ensure associates receive proper job-specific and safety training.Financial ManagementAssist in managing hotel revenues, expenses, and departmental budgets.Monitor labor costs, productivity metrics, and operating expenses.Review financial performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability.Support annual budget planning and capital improvement initiatives.Utilize financial reports and operating statements to drive decision-making and departmental performance.Work closely with department leaders to achieve financial objectives.Property & Asset ManagementSupport preventative maintenance initiatives to protect hotel assets.Assist with capital projects, renovations, and property improvement plans.Partner with the Engineering team to maintain a safe, functional, and attractive hotel environment.Ensure operational standards are maintained throughout guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.Compliance & AdministrationEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including wage and hour laws, OSHA requirements, and company policies.Maintain knowledge of Marriott standards, brand requirements, and operating procedures.Assist with audits, inspections, and operational reviews.Complete administrative projects and other duties as assigned.What We're Looking ForPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.3+ years of hotel operations leadership experience.Previous Marriott or branded hotel experience preferred.Experience leading multiple operational departments including Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, and Food & Beverage.Strong understanding of hotel financials, labor management, and operational metrics.Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospitality environment.Strong organizational and decision-making abilities.Success in This RoleThe ideal candidate is:Guest-focused and service-drivenA visible and hands-on leaderFinancially savvy and results-orientedStrategic and operationally strongAn effective coach and mentorAdaptable and solution-focusedPassionate about hospitality and team developmentJoin Our TeamThis is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the success of one of Sonoma County's most distinctive Marriott properties.
