AP Manager

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $80,000 to $100,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle accounts payable processes, including vendor communications and workflow resolution.
• Supervise two AP Specialists, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
• Handle AP adjustments and ensure accuracy and timeliness of transactions in accordance with internal policies.
• Research outstanding checks and support year-end 1099 reporting and audit activities.
• Assist the general ledger team with monthly and quarterly close processes, including accrual preparation.

• A B.A. or B.S. degree or possess an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bring 7+ years of progressive AP or accounting experience, including 2+ years in a leadership capacity.
• Demonstrate experience working with large ERP accounts payable systems.
• Show proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook for daily business operations.
• Communicate effectively with vendors, internal stakeholders, and management at all levels.

• Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to enhance AP performance and reporting accuracy.
• Present complex financial topics clearly to internal clients and cross-functional teams.
• Balance competing priorities using excellent planning and organizational abilities.
• Collaborate with project managers and operational staff to resolve financial questions and support decision-making.
• Contribute to system development by maintaining wire transfer data and updating ERP configuration and departmental records.
