Cost Accountant

Red Valve, a DeZURIK brand, is seeking a Cost Accountant to join our growing manufacturing operation in Gastonia, North Carolina. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with plant leadership, gain deep operational insight, and make a direct impact on business performance through accurate costing, inventory management, and financial analysis.

This is an onsite position working four 10-hour days per week , providing a unique schedule while remaining closely connected to plant operations and the teams you support.

In this role, you'll support the Plant Manager and Plant Controller by maintaining standard costs, inventory accuracy, and manufacturing financial data. You'll execute cost rolls, review Bills of Material, support cycle counts, reconcile inventory balances, and participate in month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations. You'll also analyze manufacturing variances, identify trends, and partner with Operations, Purchasing, and Engineering to drive corrective actions and cost improvement initiatives.

Your day may include reviewing cycle count results, supporting a Gemba walk, analyzing cost drivers, responding to operational questions, and collaborating with stakeholders to improve plant performance. As production volumes continue to grow, you'll play an important role in strengthening processes, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and helping the organization navigate growth opportunities.

We're looking for someone with strong Excel skills, experience working with ERP or MRP systems, and a solid understanding of accounting principles. Success in this role requires analytical thinking, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a desire to learn.

DeZURIK offers a competitive base salary in the $66,296 to $82,870 range, based on experience and qualifications, along with annual bonus opportunities tied to performance.
