Insurance Authorization Specialist

As an Insurance Authorization Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless operations in our healthcare organization. In this rewarding and challenging position, you will be responsible for authorizing and processing insurance claims, working closely with patients, families, and healthcare providers to deliver exceptional care.
Responsibilities:
Authorize and process insurance claims, ensuring compliance with regulations and insurance policies
Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to gather necessary information for insurance claims
Manage and maintain accurate records of insurance claims, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations
Collaborate with the healthcare team to identify and resolve billing and insurance-related issues
Stay up-to-date with changes in insurance policies, regulations, and procedures
Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred
Basic knowledge of insurance policies, regulations, and procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
Proficiency in computer software applications, including electronic health records (EHRs)
