Import Manager (Licensed)

Overview Growing international logistics and customs brokerage organization seeking an experienced Licensed Customs Import Manager to lead import operations and ensure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations. This role will oversee customs entry processes, manage a team of customs professionals, and serve as a key resource for import compliance and client service initiatives. Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of the import process in compliance with CBP regulations and other government agency rules. Ensure adherence to CBP regulations and other government agency requirements. Manage relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other relevant parties. Develop and implement import strategies and procedures to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth operations and compliance with import laws and regulations. Handle customs audits and provide necessary documentation. Stay abreast of changes in import laws and regulations and communicate updates to the organization. Lead and manage a team of import professionals, providing guidance, training, and motivation to ensure high performance and compliance. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in import management or a related role within the manufacturing industry. Extensive knowledge of CBP regulations and compliance requirements. Experience with FDA, USDA, and EPA requirements. Proven experience in freight forwarding and managing relationships with customs brokers and freight forwarders. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using import-related software and systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle customs audits and provide necessary documentation. Proven ability to develop and implement import strategies and procedures. Ability to stay updated with changes in import laws and regulations and communicate the same to the team. High level of integrity and professionalism.
