Advanced Practice - Surgical Physician Assistant (SPA)

Job Title: Surgical Physician Assistant (SPA) Location: Los Angeles, California Schedule: 8:00AM - 5:00PM x 5 Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension Pay Rate: $120 - $125/hr Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Surgical Physician Assistant (SPA) for a temporary assignment in Los Angeles, California. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend. Responsibilities for a Surgical Physician Assistant (SPA): Support a joint preservation surgeon in both surgical and clinic settings Perform pre-operative, post-operative, and follow-up appointments in the clinic setting Assist with total hip and knee replacement surgeries and surgical revisions Perform arthroplasty procedures for hip and knee Manage a clinic patient load of approximately 30 patients per day Assist with approximately 6 surgical cases per day on surgery days Work with a primarily adult and geriatric patient population Collaborate with support staff including Medical Assistants, Nursing Staff, and Scribes Utilize Epic EMR system for documentation and charting Maintain active California state licensure Maintain current Board Certification Maintain active DEA registration Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications Apply a minimum of 1 year of surgical experience, with orthopedic surgery experience strongly preferred Work a full-time schedule Monday through Friday across surgery and clinic days Benefits for a Surgical Physician Assistant (SPA): Weekly pay every Friday Medical/Dental/Vision/Life/Pet Insurance 401K Retirement Plan (matching) Full-service Credentialing and Corporate Travel Team Referral Bonus up to $1,500 Astrya Global Medical Staffing offers 10+ years of staffing experience, 100% domestic support, and is certified by both the Joint Commission and National Association of Locum Tenens Organizations.
