Position Summary

Timesavers LLC is seeking an experienced CNC Mill Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This hands-on setup machinist position focuses on low-volume, custom, and non-standard parts with frequent setups and changeovers.

We are looking for someone who can independently take a job from print to finished part, including machine setup, tooling and workholding selection, offsets, program adjustments, troubleshooting, and inspection.

This is a CNC setup machinist position, not a production CNC operator role. The ideal candidate is an experienced setup machinist who is comfortable working independently and machining a variety of parts.

What You'll Do

• Independently set up and operate CNC milling machines.
• Machine low-volume, custom and non-standard parts requiring frequent setups and changeovers.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T.
• Select tooling, fixtures, and workholding; establish machine and tool offsets.
• Determine machining sequences, feeds and speeds, and make CNC program edits at the machine.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges.
• Troubleshoot setup, tooling, programming, dimensional, and surface-finish issues.
• Work with Engineering and Manufacturing to resolve machining and manufacturability issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience, including significant CNC milling experience.
• Proven ability to independently perform complete CNC mill setups from start to finish.
• Experience machining low-volume, custom, prototype, or non-standard parts.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
• Ability to select tooling and workholding, establish offsets, and make CNC program edits.
• Proficiency with precision measuring equipment.
• Strong machining, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently while meeting quality and productivity expectations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical training in CNC Machining, Machine Tool Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with one-off parts, prototypes, and small production runs requiring frequent setups and changeovers.
• Experience machining steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Experience manufacturing components for industrial machinery or custom equipment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Regularly use hands and arms to operate machinery, tooling and measuring equipment.
• Ability to lift and move parts, materials and tooling weighing up to 50 pounds, with assistance or lifting equipment when appropriate.
• Ability to bend, reach, and stoop as required for machine setup and operation.
• Ability to safely work around manufacturing equipment and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Work Environment

This position works primarily in a machine-shop environment around CNC machinery, tooling, metal components, cutting fluids, metal chips, and normal shop noise. Employees must follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.

Compensation & Benefits

$35.00-$40.00 per hour, DOQE
