Assistant Site Manager Job Location: Kennedy KIDSTOP – St.Joseph, MN56374 Position Type: Part Time Salary Range: $16.78 – $18.00 hourly Department: Program Reports To: Senior Site Manager and/or Site Manager FLSA Status: Non‑Exempt/Hourly Mission Statement The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota is to do whatever it takes to empower all youth to reach their full potential. Job Description Summary Delivery and supervision of quality programs and activities at the designated KIDSTOP/Club site. Must pivot to other locations as needed. Assume full responsibility for the program site in the manager’s absence. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Meet regularly with program staff to plan and evaluate programming. Prepare weekly and monthly program schedules. Assume responsibility for the program site in the manager’s absence, including morning shift and all‑day program coverage. Support and participate in grant‑related programs. Engage in special programs and events as needed. Oversee an environment that supports positive youth development. Promote, stimulate, and encourage youth participation in programs. Assist with new member orientation and integration. Provide guidance and serve as a positive role model for youth members. Supervise, guide, mentor staff and volunteers. Assist with training and onboarding of new staff and volunteers. Communicate organizational objectives, standards, and programs effectively. Lead diverse program activities across all program areas. Plan, develop, coordinate, promote, and evaluate programs to ensure member safety, program quality, and site appearance. Prepare periodic activity reports and maintain accurate records of attendance, parent accounts, and special events. Assist with parent interactions, including new member information, communication, and conflict resolution. Manage medical and behavioral issues of youth members with care and professionalism. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems. Ability to interact with parents and deal with the general public. Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth. Ability to maintain and develop partnerships in the community. Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment. Must be flexible, adaptable, and mobile when supervising staff or members. CPR and first‑aid certified. Must pass a Department of Human Services background check. Education & Work Experience High school diploma / GED. Minimum one year of job experience and/or training. Fundamental Relationships Maintains close, daily contact with staff and volunteers, club members, and the supervisor to exchange information, discuss issues, explain guidelines or instructions, and advise or counsel. Contributes to maintaining good relations with school personnel and the public. Part‑time employees are also eligible for health benefits. Working Conditions & Physical Requirements Regularly walking, bending, reaching, stretching, hearing, seeing, repetitive hand motions. Occasionally lifting up to 50lbs and standing. Regularly using phones and two‑way radios; occasionally using kitchen equipment, hand tools, audio‑visual equipment, copy/scan machines. Regularly working indoors and outdoors in varied weather, team and independent work, noisy conditions; occasionally exposure to odors, varied lighting, small or enclosed spaces. Must manage workplace stressors and handle belligerent behaviors. Occasionally exposed to chemicals or body fluids; must use protective gear (gloves, masks, etc.).
