Experienced Orthodontic Dental Assistant
We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and experienced Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate should have previous experience working in an orthodontic office, be comfortable assisting with orthodontic procedures, and enjoy creating a positive experience for patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist during patient appointments and procedures
- Take digital X-rays, photographs, and impressions/scans as needed
- Prepare patients for orthodontic treatment
- Assist with bonding, debonding, wire changes, and other orthodontic procedures
- Sterilize instruments and maintain proper infection-control protocols
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms between patients
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical notes
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, appliance care, and treatment instructions
- Help maintain an organized and efficient clinical environment
Qualifications
- Previous orthodontic dental assisting experience required
- Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred
- Knowledge of orthodontic instruments, materials, and procedures
- Excellent communication and patient-care skills
- Dependable, organized, and able to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
