Position Overview

Fennemore is seeking a Legal Support Specialist with deep experience in Arizona litigation who excels in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment and consistently delivers precise, polished work under pressure.

This role supports legal administrative assistants, paralegals, attorneys, and other professional firms by handling highly detail-oriented tasks critical to litigation workflows . As part of our centralized Legal Support Hub, this position offers broad exposure to diverse litigation matters and the opportunity to develop strong subject-matter expertise in a collaborative, fast-paced setting.

 

What You'll Do

As a Legal Support Specialist, your responsibilities will be:

 

• Prepare, format, and proofread complex legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, and court filings 
• File and serve documents in Arizona courts (state and federal), ensuring compliance with all rules and deadlines 
• Create and manage tables of contents, tables of authorities, and document comparisons using specialized software 
• Draft routine legal documents (e.g., proposed orders, subpoenas, summonses, civil cover sheets) 
• Coordinate service of process and support case progression from filing through resolution 
• Perform high-volume transcription, revisions, and document cleanup with a strong focus on accuracy 
• Track and enter billable time 
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and the Legal Support Hub to ensure timely, high-quality work product

 

As part of our commitment to collaboration and excellence, this role requires flexibility in daily work schedules during periods of high workload, adhering to departmental and Firm goals and policies, and performing other duties as assigned to support the success of the department and organization. In addition, employees are expected to learn and effectively use necessary technical skills related to firm-approved technology, including AI products and AI-enabled tools, to perform work efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with firm policies.

 

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years of experience supporting litigation in a law firm environment with Arizona state and federal filings 
• Strong command of legal formatting, proofreading, and document production standards 
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) 
• Experience with document management and time entry systems 
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment 
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision 
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach
