Travel speech therapist position for a 13-week assignment in a psychiatric hospital setting in Terrell, TX. Provide critical assessment and treatment to support patients' communication and swallowing needs, improving overall care outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive speech and language assessments for patients in a psychiatric hospital setting.
• Diagnose communication and swallowing disorders through clinical examinations, history collection, and patient observation.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Perform periodic re-evaluations and adjust treatment strategies based on patient progress.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of assessments, treatment sessions, and patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current and unrestricted Texas SLP License through TDLR
• Minimum of 2 years of experience
• Ability to work at Terrell State Hospital
• Flexibility with work days
• Excellent documentation skills
• Strong communication abilities
• Compassionate approach to mental health care
