Contracting Specialist, Managed Care

The Contracting Specialist, Managed Care supports initiatives for HMH Physicians, Physician Related Entities, Urgent Care and Facility, Pay for Performance (P4P) and Professional Behavioral Health Services during system and new entities negotiations in accordance with Hackensack Meridian Health's (HMH) established rate and language parameters under the senior department leadership direction. Will be responsible for addressing operational, financial and services issues and facilitate contract implementation within key operational areas throughout the organization for assigned payers and HMH entities.

• **Minimum $35.17/hr***
• **This posiion is Hybrid and would require 1-2 days per week onsite***

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Health related field. Minimum of 3 or more years of experience in Hospital, Facility, Ancillary, Physician Provider Contracting and operational experience, including a well-rounded full and comprehensive understanding of Managed Care contractual language, regulations and editing/redlining of Agreements/Amendments. Ability to negotiate HMH required language parameters with payers. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Work well under pressure, multitasker and managed to department and organizational timelines Excellent analytics and problem solving skills. Utilize tack and sensitivity in communicating effectively with internal and external customers. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
