Annealing Operator – 2nd Shift Morvillo Precision Products, a trusted leader in precision manufacturing within the jewelry and precious metals industry, is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Annealing Operator to join our 2nd shift team in Providence, RI. This role plays a critical part in the heat‑treatment process, ensuring metal products meet precise specifications for hardness, strength, and flexibility. Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor annealing furnaces to heat‑treat metal products according to production specifications Manage and maintain operation of up to four furnaces simultaneously, ensuring consistent output and quality Load and unload materials safely and efficiently into furnaces Set and adjust furnace temperature, timing, and cycle controls based on documented procedures and alloy requirements Follow established processes for the production and treatment of various metal alloys Inspect finished materials to verify conformance to required physical and mechanical properties Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of furnace equipment to ensure optimal performance Maintain accurate production records and documentation as required Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and proactively support a culture of safety, including reporting incidents and near misses Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment Demonstrate core values in all interactions and responsibilities Perform additional duties as assigned to support production needs Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred Prior experience operating annealing furnaces or similar heat‑treatment equipment strongly preferred Understanding of metal properties, heat‑treating processes, and alloy handling is a plus Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to monitor and adjust equipment settings Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions and production documentation Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance Ability to manage multiple tasks and processes simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment Basic troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills Commitment to workplace safety and compliance standards Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance Company‑sponsored life and disability insurance 401(k) retirement plan with company match and 100% vesting at 90 days Paid time off (vacation, sick time, personal, and holidays) Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Training and career development opportunities Shift differential for 2nd shift employees (where applicable) Application Process Interested candidates are encouraged to apply by submitting a current resume outlining their relevant experience and qualifications.
