Join a dynamic healthcare training program designed to launch your career as a Medical Assistant. This 7-week paid academy offers hands-on experience under the guidance of licensed nurses, physicians, and advanced practice providers in a supportive clinical environment. The program begins January 19th, 2026, with interviews scheduled for December 19th, 2025.

General Summary

The Medical Assistant Trainee will assist with patient care tasks delegated by clinical staff, demonstrating professionalism, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting. You will be a vital link between patients and providers, ensuring smooth communication and efficient clinic operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety protocols including infection control and patient handling.
• Escort patients, obtain vital signs and EKGs, verify medications and allergies, and document patient information accurately.
• Manage phone communications, relay messages, and assist with patient follow-up calls.
• Support medication renewals, authorizations, and administration as ordered.
• Perform point-of-care lab testing and collect specimens.
• Schedule appointments, procedures, and admissions as directed.
• Maintain supply inventory and ensure exam areas are clean and stocked.
• Educate patients on electronic health record access and assist with enrollment.
• Help orient and train new medical assistants.
• Demonstrate accountability, teamwork, and reliability in attendance and performance.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Work Experience

This program is tailored for individuals without prior Medical Assistant experience.

Certification/License

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required and will be provided during the training.

Mental/Physical Requirements

Requires considerable mental focus and physical activity including lifting up to 35 lbs, frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching.

Working Conditions

Exposure to infectious diseases and occasional challenging interactions with patients. Minimal physical discomfort expected.
