4 hours per day, 4 days per week
Monday - Thursday 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Primary Work Function
The church office is the hub of communication and requires efficient clerical assistance in the day to day operations. The office manager is responsible to serve as the Church
receptionist, maintain Church records, generate and
distribute written communications, maintain and order
supplies and equipment repairs. The office manager
reports to the Chair of the Congregation and the Minister.Job Duties and Responsibilities
A. Serves as Church Receptionist
1. Answers the telephone, checks messages on the
answering machine
2. Ensure church entrances are accessible by opening doors and directing visitors as needed.
3. The Office Manager manages the scheduling and
reservation of facilities for both internal groups and
outside organizations
4. Creates, maintains and updates official church calendar
B. Maintains Church records weekly, monthly, and yearly on computer or hard copy such as
1. Membership roster
2. Individual Membership Records
3. Financial giving
4. Policies
5. Meeting Minutes: Files copies of all minutes for
a. Congregation
b. General Board
c. Elders
d. Trustees
e. Stewardship & Finance
f. Deacons
g. Committees
C. Generates or distributes written communications / Verbal notifications
1. Memos and prayer chain notifications / milestone events like a wedding or anniversary
2. Weekly Bulletins
3. Newsletters
4. Correspondence
5. Annual Reports and other reports as needed
6. Flyers and mailing materials as needed
7. Assists Caring & Outreach committee with Visitor Packets and New Member Packets
D. Records contributions/attendance into Servant Keeper software
E. Maintains Church supplies and office equipment
1. Places order for office supplies or building supplies
2. Create business cards, name tags brochures as
needed
3. Coordinates and reports repair/maintenance of office equipment
F. Maintain Church website and Facebook Job Skills and Requirements
A. Demonstrates proficiency in computer skills including word processing programs and adapts to new church software.
B. Attention to detail and follows through on assignments and deadlines
C. A commitment to team work and support of church
ministries
D. Maintains confidentiality regarding all records, both of the church and staff and the members
E. Dependable attendance Working Relationships:
A. This position works directly under the Minister and the Chair of the Congregation, supporting their administrative and organizational needs as defined in the job description, Church Constitution, and Bylaws.
B. Works directly with the general public, various groups and other church organizations.
C. Receives an annual performance evaluation.
Compensation is reviewed annually.
Work Requirements
A. Office Management or secretarial experience
B. Computer skills are a must. Prior experience using
Microsoft Word, and Excel.
C. Telephone etiquette, interpersonal skills and abilities are essential
D. Typing, Filing, Communication and organization skills
E. Graduation from an accredited high school, business course preferred.
F. Must have transportation
