Pharmacy Technician in Phoenix, AZ

An experienced pharmacy technician is needed to support a busy retail/mail order pharmacy operation in Phoenix, AZ, on a contract basis with potential for contract to hire. The position requires a technician who thrives in a fast-paced environment with a focus on accuracy, patient care, and strong teamwork.
Schedule:
- Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- Perform typical retail pharmacy duties including high-volume data entry and dispensing
- Manage walk-in retail prescriptions alongside predominantly mail order medication processing
- Maintain high standards of patient communication and support
- Collaborate effectively with pharmacy team members and healthcare providers
- Demonstrate initiative by identifying needs within the pharmacy workflow and proactively assisting
- Minimum of one year recent high-volume retail pharmacy technician experience (within the past year)
- Experience with HIV/AIDS medication dispensing is highly preferred and should be clearly noted on the resume
- Valid Arizona pharmacy technician license (AZ tech lic) and PTCB certification required
- Familiarity with QS1 pharmacy software is highly preferred but not mandatory
- Strong communication skills and a positive, dependable work attitude
Location: Phoenix, Arizona
This is a 13-week contract role with the possibility to transition to permanent placement for the right candidate. The role demands commitment to punctuality and consistent attendance.
