Description

Financial Manager / Controller

Location: Staten Island, NY(must report to Staten Island office daily)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: $100K-$175K depending on experience

About Us:ABCO Maintenance is a leading commercial facility maintenance and construction company serving the Tri-State area 24/7 for over 60 years. We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager/Controller to take ownership of our financial operations and help drive strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Build and maintain financial models to support business planning and decision-making
Prepare and oversee accurate financial reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
Manage relationships with banks, lenders, and insurance providers
Monitor and manage company cash flow, forecasting needs and optimizing liquidity
Oversee monthly and year-end close processes
Ensure strong internal controls and regulatory compliance
Maintain and optimize the company’s accounting systems and processes
Perform variance analysis and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify trends
Supervise Payroll, Accounts Payable, Billing, and Accounts Receivable functions

Position Requirements

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or related role
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, modeling, and cash flow management
Experience managing banking and insurance relationships
Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
Professional accounting designation (CPA or CMA) preferred
Construction or Facility Maintenance experience a plus but not required.
