A typical day includes working from job orders, finding the correct bundles of steel bars, and moving materials to the right machines or shipping areas.Responsibilities include:Load and unload steel bars from trucksMove material using sit-down tow motors, side loaders, and overhead cranesLoad bars into cardboard tubes, band, box, and prepare product for shipmentOil steel bars as needed to help prevent rustComplete tickets, work orders, and basic production paperworkFollow written work orders and verbal instructions accuratelyWork safely in a faster-paced, non-temperature-controlled shop environmentRequired QualificationsWarehouse, material handling, or manufacturing experience preferredTow motor, side loader, and overhead crane experience preferredAble to lift up to 40 lbs. and stay active throughout the shiftAble to understand English work instructions and complete basic paperworkComfortable working in a noisy, hands-on manufacturing settingStrong attendance, good work ethic, and willingness to work 2nd shift long termWork EnvironmentThis is a physical steel handling job where you should expect to be on your feet, move throughout the shop, and get dirty at times.
