In collaboration with other members of the management team, this individual is responsible for the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit or department. • Assumes responsibility for direction and coordination of all functions during the designated shift. • Functions as a resource person for staff member and assists in necessary education of individual members of the nursing staff. • Assumes responsibility for the overall quality of nursing care provided when s/he is on duty • Delivers high quality, patient-centered care • Demonstrates awareness and respect for the patient/family/significant others • Knowledgeable of patient's rights, advanced directives, consents, protection of patient security, privacy and confidentiality in all aspects of care • Demonstrates accuracy in administration, monitoring and documentation of medications, treatments, IV therapies, modalities and blood products • Assess, collaborate and coordinate meeting patient's care needs during transition from shift to shift, transfer and upon discharge To Get Started You Will Need: • Minimum of two (2) years of clinical practice in the dialysis specialty, acute care experience in a hospital setting preferred • Appropriate certifications as required for specific position • Degree from an accredited school of nursing • BSN required within 1 year • Certification in specialty required within 1 year. • Completion of charge nurse course required within one year Maintains certifications, education and development appropriate for position Apply Today!
