Executive Director

CFA Society of Washington, DC (CFAW) seeks a strategic, creative, and relationship-focused Executive Director to provide leadership for one of the largest CFA societies in the United States. Working in partnership with the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will translate CFAW’s strategic priorities into measurable results while strengthening member value, organizational effectiveness, financial sustainability, and the Society’s visibility throughout the Washington, DC investment community. CFAW is a professional association serving more than 2,100 investment professionals throughout the Washington, DC region. As a member society of CFA Institute, CFAW brings together professionals from investment management firms, financial institutions, regulatory agencies, universities, consulting organizations, corporations, associations, pension funds, endowments, and foundations. The Society advances its members’ professional success through approximately 50 educational, networking, mentoring, and professional development programs and events each year. The Executive Director will provide strategic oversight of CFAW’s operations, financial stewardship, member engagement, programs and events, marketing and communications, sponsorships, partnerships, and revenue growth. A key near-term priority will be supporting the Board in the selection and transition to a new association management company (AMC) and subsequently overseeing the AMC and other external service providers to ensure strong performance, accountability, and service to members. The successful candidate will bring significant executive leadership experience, including association management, financial oversight, marketing or communications, and management of outsourced service providers. CFAW is seeking a leader who can combine strategic thinking with effective execution, build productive relationships with the Board, volunteers, CFA Institute, sponsors, employers, universities, and other partners, and bring a fresh, creative lens to new approaches, partnerships, and revenue opportunities that support sustainable growth. CFAW is a remote organization; however, the Executive Director must reside in the Washington, DC region and be available to attend in-person Board meetings, programs, events, and other organizational activities as needed. #J-18808-Ljbffr
