Description:

This position is in an interventional cardiac / procedure unit. Candidates will perform pre and post invasive / diagnostic procedures. Duties include cardioversion, pre/post angiogram, and elective PCI. Experience with EP patients, including ablation, lead placement, pacer placement, and pre-TAVR is necessary. Responsibilities will include post-operative recovery for structural heart patients. Candidates should be proficient in TEE, procedure sedation, blood/blood products administration, and cardioversion/defibrillation. Managing epicardial pacer and sheath removal is required. Telemetry interpretation is essential, along with proficiency in heparin and insulin management. Direct patient care will focus on adult and geriatric age groups. The unit accommodates 16 beds and provides interdisciplinary support from respiratory services and rapid response teams. Daily responsibilities require management of cardiac drips and vasoactive drips without titration. Candidates must have a high level of proficiency in starting and maintaining IVs, telemetry monitoring, and post cardiac angiogram care. Compliance with all established protocols and patient care policies is mandatory.
