Title
Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Telemetry

Schedule
Typical weekends: every other weekend
Number of weekend shifts per contract: ~6
RTO (request time off): Maximum 7 days per contract

Assignment Details
Census: 32 beds
Ratio: Days/Nights 1:5; Weekends 1:6

Requirements
- Minimum 1 year RN experience
- Travel experience required
- RN license (GA or Compact at time of submission)
- BLS, ACLS certifications
- Telemetry competency required
- Experience managing continuous IV medications:
- Cardiac drips: Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin
- Diuretics: Bumex, Lasix
- Anticoagulants: Aggrastat, Argatroban, Heparin
- Insulin drips
- Experience with HFNC, BiPAP, central/peripheral line care, blood products, phlebotomy

Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage patient care for adults to geriatrics with various medical/surgical diagnoses.
- Monitor telemetry patients and respond to cardiac arrhythmias and changes in clinical condition.
- Administer prescribed medications, including continuous IV medications.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
- Perform essential nursing duties, including patient assessments and care planning.
- Educate patients and families regarding medications and health management.

Compliance / Notes
- Full compliance required to start on time; incomplete compliance may delay start.
- Must complete core items/labs within 48 hours of contract signing.
- All compliance documents due the Tuesday prior to start.
- Orientation hours: 36 (NBO hours vary by contract length).
- Floating within facility/scope of practice may be required.
