Job Description - Speech Therapist - Multiple Campuses: 2026-2027 School Year (26000083)Job DescriptionSpeech Therapist - Multiple Campuses: 2026-2027 School Year - ( 26000083 )DescriptionPosition Summary:Assess, diagnose, and provide speech therapy services to students with speech and language disorders.Conduct speech and language assessments, write FIE reports, and communicate the results at IEP meetingsConsult with various stakeholders in different settingsDiagnose and provide direct and indirect speech therapy servicesRegularly report progress to parents per ARD committee determinationProvide professional development with different stakeholdersMaintain appropriate documentation as determined by the speech programConduct, attend, and participate in ARD/IEP committee meetings and provide goals and objectives for students needing speech and language servicesAttend MTSS/SST meetings for students referred for speech and language concernsKeep abreast of current trends in the practice of speech pathology, develop professional skills, and ensure federal/state regulationsAll other duties as assignedWORK ENVIRONMENT:Classroom/Campus: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. There is minimal exposure to environmental conditions such as outdoor weather, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, etc. Travel throughout the district is integral to this job.QualificationsMaster's Degree from an accredited university in Speech Language Pathology requiredSpeech Language Pathology or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship licensure required2+ years of direct experience as a Speech Pathologist preferredKnowledge of assessments, assessment procedures, completing and writing reports after an assessment, ARD/IEP meetings (paperwork and conducting the meetings), therapy (activities, materials, timing, curriculum alignment), and documentation of therapyKnowledge of federal and state laws and guidelines related to speech and language therapy servicesExcellent organizational, communication, interpersonal skills, and computer skillsAbility to concentrate on detailed work and communicate and interface effectively with a wide variety of district personnelPHYSICAL DEMANDS:Classroom/Campus: When performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; communicate verbally and electronically; stand; move throughout the building; use objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl; climb; balance and drive.
