Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Grant Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $30.00 to $36.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:Prepare financial reports related to grant activity and ensure timely submission of required funding documentation.
Monitor grant budgets and review expenditures to ensure spending aligns with approved funding requirements.
Perform account reconciliations and review general ledger activity to maintain accurate financial records.
Support audit activities by preparing schedules, documentation, and responses to information requests.
Assist with grant setup, cash management, reporting, and closeout activities throughout the funding lifecycle.
2+ years of accounting, finance, or grant administration experience.
Previous experience with nonprofit accounting and grant funded programs.
Knowledge of grant compliance, financial reporting, budget monitoring, and general ledger accounting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including advanced spreadsheet functions and reporting tools.
A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
Previous experience working with government funded grants and regulatory reporting requirements.
Familiarity with nonprofit accounting systems, including Blackbaud Financial Edge or similar platforms.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Knowledge of federal grant requirements, cost allocation methods, audit support activities, and grant closeout processes.
