Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Observation Unit (Telemetry) night shift position requiring at least 1 year of Med/Surg experience and telemetry competency.

Details

• Located in an acute care community hospital setting
• Observation Unit with potential to float to other Med/Surg units and possibly PCU if skills align
• Patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage is required
• Charting system: Meditech (experience preferred but not required)
• Remote telemetry monitoring is part of the role

Requirements

• Active AZ or Compact RN license required
• BLS required; ACLS required only if floating to PCU
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg (acute care) experience required
• Telemetry experience required, including remote telemetry monitoring
• Proficiency in IV therapy, peripheral line care, and standard medication administration
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

• Orientation begins every Monday; orientation modules are included as part of the onboarding process
• Float to PCU is possible only if the candidate's skills align and will be noted in the offer
• Blocked scheduling cannot be guaranteed
• Former permanent employees of this facility must wait 12 months before being considered as a traveler
• Local candidates and first-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Travel pairs are accepted
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience are preferred but not required
