RN - Acute Care Telemetry Nurse

Job Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers professional, empathetic care, administering medications and treatments, collaborating with healthcare providers, and ensuring accurate documentation. This position requires adherence to nursing standards and legal guidelines, fostering teamwork, and supporting continuous learning and development. Key Responsibilities Administer medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques and education. Provide timely and accurate information to physicians and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care. Document patient care, including medications, vital signs, and intake/output, and develop individualized care plans within 24 hours of admission. Deliver direct patient care according to established standards, respecting patient rights and legal requirements. Participate in orientation, staff meetings, in-service trainings, and special projects. Adapt to changes in the work environment and maintain effective working relationships. Promote a positive experience for patients, customers, and coworkers through excellent service. Engage actively in teamwork and uphold integrity and professionalism. Education and Experience Graduation from an accredited nursing school is required. Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred. At least one year of RN experience in an acute care setting is preferred. Recent telemetry or cardiac nursing experience of one year or more is preferred. Licenses and Certifications Current, unrestricted nursing license in the state of Washington. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required. Skills and Abilities Strong knowledge of nursing procedures and patient care principles. Ability to apply age-specific growth and development principles to patient care. Commitment to patient privacy and safety, adhering to HIPAA standards. Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with technology, including electronic medical records and Microsoft Office. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs occasionally, with frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching required. Work Schedule Part-time, PRN position with 12-hour day shifts in a 40-hour work week.
