Staff Accountant

We’re hiring a contract Staff Accountant to join a growing accounting team! If you’re someone who enjoys owning the month-end process, digging into reconciliations, and partnering across departments to improve financial accuracy, this could be a great fit. What you’ll be doing: Support the full month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and variance reports Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations Review revenue, expenses, and balance sheet activity for accuracy Assist with AP and AR functions as needed Support fixed asset tracking and depreciation schedules Partner with internal teams to ensure proper coding and financial accuracy Assist with audit preparation and provide supporting documentation Identify process improvement opportunities and support implementation efforts Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies What we’re looking for: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience 3–5 years of accounting experience Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close Experience with JD Edwards (JDE) is highly preferred Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas) High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong communication and problem-solving skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
