Description

• Conduct assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing standardized evaluations and observational approaches.
• Create individualized treatment strategies tailored to meet both immediate and lasting communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver one-on-one therapeutic speech interventions targeted at communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing issues.
• Partner with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to develop unified care plans.
• Educate patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond clinical visits.
• Participate in the occasional inpatient evaluation and therapies, ensuring seamless care throughout a patient's journey.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation that adheres to the regulations of state, federal, and organizational policies.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by staying informed about advancements in the field through educational opportunities and peer cooperation.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if certification from ASHA has not yet been obtained.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
