Senior Director, Marketing Finance

The Finance team’s goal is to be a trusted and collaborative partner to all the businesses and functional teams that we work with, bringing business acumen, financial expertise and insights to aid decision-making and deliver value to our stakeholders. We strive to generate value through providing specialist advice and making recommendations to optimize decision making, delivering transparent processes and implementing governance and controls to mitigate risk.

We are building a new Marketing Finance capability to support the next phase of our growth strategy.

The Senior Director, Marketing Finance will serve as the senior Finance partner to our Marketing organization, helping shape how we invest across consumer, provider and digital marketing and bringing rigorous financial thinking to marketing strategy,measurementand resource allocation.

This is not a traditional cost-management FP&A role . We are looking for a leader with deep Marketing Financeexpertisewho understands how marketing creates value and can work alongside Marketing leaders at the level of individual channels, campaigns, customerjourneysand investment decisions.

The successful candidate will build this capability from the ground up andestablishwhat world-class Marketing Finance looks like for the company.

What You Will Do

Partner on Marketing Strategy

• Serve as a strategic financial partner to the CMO and senior Marketing leadership.

• Translate marketing strategy into investment choices, financialoutcomesand measurable businessobjectives.

• Provide an independent, analytically rigorous perspective on where marketing dollars can create the greatest enterprise value.

• Help leadership make trade-offs across consumer, provider, digital, brand and other marketing investments.

Drive Marketing Investment Effectiveness

• Develop frameworks to evaluate marketing ROI,incrementality,and effectiveness.

• Connect marketing investments to customer and provider behavior, funnel performance,revenueand long-term value creation.

• Partner with Marketing and analytics teams to improve measurement,attributionand performance transparency.

• Evaluate channel and campaign economics andidentifyopportunities to scale,optimizeor redirect investment.

• Build financial frameworks that enable disciplined test-and-learn approaches to marketing investment.

Build the Marketing Finance Capability

• Design and build the company's Marketing Finance team and operating model.

• Establish consistent processes formarketinginvestment planning,forecastingand performance management.

• Create the KPIs,analyticsand decision frameworksrequiredto support Marketing leadership.

• Build a regular Marketing investment and performance review that focuses on outcomes andreturn, not simplyspendversus budget.

• Bring external best practices and help raise the organization's overall capability in marketing investment management.

Connect Marketing to Enterprise Planning

• Integrate marketing strategy and performance into the company's annual planning,forecastingand long-range planning processes.

• Develop scenarios that quantify the potentialfinancial impactof incremental marketing investment.

• Partner across Finance, Commercial, Strategy,Analyticsand other functions to connect marketingactivityto broader business performance.

• Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to executive leadership.

What We Are Looking For

• 12+ years of significant progressive finance experience, including 5-7 years of deep expertise in Marketing Finance.

• Demonstrated experience partnering directly with a CMO or senior Marketing leadership team.

• Strong experience supporting sophisticated consumer and/or digital marketing organizations.

• Deep understanding of marketing ROI, channel economics, customer acquisition, funnel conversion, attribution, incrementality and investment optimization.

• Experience evaluating and reallocating significant marketing investment portfolios.

• Ability to move comfortably between strategy and detailed marketing tactics.

• Demonstrated success building teams,processesor capabilities in an evolving environment.

• Strong commercial judgment and ability to influence senior executives.

• Ability to translate complex analytics into clear business decisions.

Preferred Background

• Experience within consumer, digital, e-commerce, technology,subscriptionor other analytically sophisticated marketing environments is highly desirable.

• Healthcare or med-tech experience is aplus, but notrequired . We place greater value on deep Marketing Financeexpertiseand experience working with sophisticated marketing organizations.

Within the first year, this leader will have created a Marketing Finance capability that gives Marketing and executive leadership a materially better understanding of:

• Where our marketing dollars are being invested.

• What business outcomes those investments aregenerating.

• Which activities should receive more or lessinvestment.

• How marketing investment translates into growth and long-term enterprise value.

Theobjectiveis not simply better control of marketing spend. It is bettermarketinginvestment decisions and higher returns on those investments.

Individual pay decisions are based on a variety of factors, such as the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.

At ResMed, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current base range for this position is: $215,000-$270,000 USD.

For remote positions located outside of the US, pay will be determined based the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.
