Account Executive

Key Responsibilities Identify viable leads and acquire new business for the Commercial and Industrial lines of business. Target new business and new from competitor opportunities in the market. Focus on opportunities with a revenue band of $200-$2,000 per month. Maintain awareness of market behavior and competitive trends to anticipate changing customer needs. Maintain thorough knowledge of the company’s available services, pricing structures, and offer additional services specified by prospect. Establish long‑term business relationships with new clients to grow revenue and meet pricing objectives. Execute service agreements with customers. Build relationships and increase company visibility through participation in company‑sponsored activities, trade shows, Chamber of Commerce events, and similar activities. Partner with Operations Team and Customer Service department to address customer needs. Perform site visits as required. Utilize Salesforce.com daily, scheduling and documenting all activities for new business opportunities and managing the sales pipeline. Achieve weekly activity standards, including phone blocking for appointments and overall pipeline management. Achieve and/or exceed monthly growth quota. Perform other job‑related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to achieve growth quotas, learn quickly, and apply knowledge to business goals. Advanced communication (written and verbal), organizational, problem‑solving, time‑management, and negotiation skills. Effective usage of Salesforce or other CRM to manage sales pipeline from lead to opportunity. Strong interpersonal skills, including effective presentation and listening skills. Building and nurturing of internal and external customer relationships. Self‑motivated, with a strong work ethic, pride in work, and a drive to win. Requirements 3+ years of sales experience with a proven track record of exceeding revenue quotas and managing a book of business. 2+ years of solid waste industry experience. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, advertising, marketing, or related field (preferred). Noise level is usually moderate. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, photocopiers, and fax machine. Physical / Mental Demands Ability to stand, sit, walk, use hands and fingers, talk and hear. Visual requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
