Passionate about family law and eager to impact the lives of families and children? Our Law Firm in Chicago is in search of a committed Family Law Paralegal to join our esteemed team. As a vital member of our legal team, you will play a crucial role in assisting attorneys with all facets of family law cases, starting from client intake to court filings. Your meticulous attention to detail and empathetic approach will guide clients through complex legal procedures. Be part of our mission to deliver exceptional legal services.

Benefits to full-time employees include paid holidays, paid vacation time, Health, Dental, Vision, and Life insurance, and 401(k). The salary range for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 plus bonus potential. Actual salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.

Compensation:

$45,000 - $60,000 annually

Responsibilities:

Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, notices, and correspondence related to family law cases.
Conduct legal research on case law and statutes relevant to family law matters.
Issue and respond to discovery requests.
Coordinate and docket court dates and depositions to ensure smooth case progression.
Manage and organize case files and documents to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
Prepare draft legal documents and file the same with the court in a timely and efficient manner.

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in family law or a related legal field.
Proficiency in legal research and writing.
Familiarity with legal documentation and court procedures.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
