Physical Therapy Assistant

Role Overview: Under supervision of a Physical Therapist, implements treatment programs for patients across all age groups, ensuring adherence to accepted practices. Self-assesses and seeks continuous professional development through participation in educational activities and sharing knowledge. Effectively communicates with interdisciplinary teams, patients, families, and colleagues using verbal and written skills. Utilizes logical reasoning to identify problems, analyze data, develop solutions, and evaluate outcomes. Supports student training by completing assessments and promoting education within the profession. Builds collaborative relationships, encourages input, and adapts to change positively. Assists in data collection, monitors patient progress, and ensures safety during therapy sessions. Prepares documentation, aids in discharge planning, and promotes evidence-based practices. Performs other duties as assigned to support department goals. Qualifications Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited program. Preferred: One year of experience as a Physical Therapy Aide or Assistant. Current licensure as a PTA with active and good standing.
