Exciting Outpatient Rehab PTA Opportunity! Job Description:
- Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of patients working through orthopedic challenges?
- Join our dynamic team in a vibrant outpatient rehab setting!
Position Details:
- Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
- Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00)
- Days: Monday to Friday
- Patient Ratio: 1:1 therapist to patient
Qualifications:
- Experience with:
- Orthopedic populations
- Young athletes
- Post-operative patients
- Debility/Falls
- Balance issues
- Minimum of 1 year of experience required; 2 years preferred
- First-time travelers accepted! Additional Information:
- No weekend requirements
- No on-call duties
- Local candidates accepted
- Pending licenses accepted
- No RTO restrictions Patient Care Details:
- Work with diverse patient age groups: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
- Daily census of 7 patients
- Engage in a variety of patient diagnoses including:
- Fine/Gross Motor Delays
- Balance/Coordination Disorders
- Debility/Generalized Weakness
- Neuro conditions: CVA, Parkinson's, Guillain-Barre
- Post-surgical care for lower and upper extremities
Unit Details:
- Interdisciplinary support from various teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Social Services, and more!
- Swing Bed Facility that enhances patient recovery Requirements:
- Charting experience using Meditech preferred
