Staff Accountant

Accountant PositionFacility Gateway Corporation (FGC) is seeking an organized, detail oriented Accountant to join our team! The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, a fast learner, have at least two years of relevant experience, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.This position works directly with the Controller, as well as the Accounting Clerk and Accounting Assistant. Our team regularly interfaces with other departments as well.This position will be responsible for afternoon coverage of the accounting department, and therefore will need to be available to work a schedule of 8:30 -5:00 during the work week, with a 30 minute lunch. This is a salaried position, on average 40-45 hours per week. The position will report to FGC's Controller.Key Responsibilities:Manage daily workload, ensuring that deadlines are met, and work completed accuratelyOversee accounting process for multiple companies across different accounting platformsAble to perform revenue recognition tasks (accruals/deferrals)Understand reoccurring revenue modelEnsure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or relevant accounting standards.Creation of sales orders and purchase ordersReviewing contractsSales order/purchase order review & clean upManaging vendor relationships as it relates to paymentsOversee collections processImplement and monitor accounting policies and proceduresManage customer relationships - both external and internal - as it relates to accountingFamiliar with A/P & A/R practices/functionsCompleting vendor credit applicationsCredit card reconciliationsOther duties as assigned by ControllerQualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred - or comparable work experience.Intermediate/advanced knowledge with all Microsoft Office programs, particularly ExcelIntermediate/advanced knowledge of QuickBooksKnowledge of financial principles and accounting terminologyExcellent time management skills and ability to multi-taskPerformance under pressureStrong interpersonal skillsExceptional written and communication skillsPassion for business and financeSelf-motivated and self-directedAttention to detail and a commitment to accuracySalary: $50,000 to $60,000 annually, based on experience.Benefits:PTO / Paid Sick TimePaid company holidays401(k) plan with employer matchingHealth / Dental / Vision insuranceHealth reimbursement planFlex Spending AccountLife Insurance
