QA Specialist

Purple, Rock, Scissors (PRPL) is seeking a QA UX (Visual) Specialist to support one of our large tech clients on a product excellence initiative focused on addressing underlying quality issues and establishing a scalable visual QA approach aligned to design system nuances. This engagement centers on defining and operationalizing a framework that ensures alignment between design intent, system guidelines, and product experiences. This role sits within a multidisciplinary product team of designers, product partners, and engineers working to deliver consistent, high-quality digital experiences. You will evaluate builds, surface issues, and support the establishment of repeatable quality workflows, including supporting pre-launch bugs and reviewing the actual build against test cases, while contributing to process thinking across evolving systems. We’re looking for someone who can navigate in an ambiguous environment, apply structured review practices, and help elevate experience quality through visual validation and collaborative problem-solving. Fully Remote role. PST Hours Required. Contract. Full-Time Hours. Initial 3-month pilot engagement (March 2026–May 2026) with potential for extension. Key Responsibilities Collaborate cross-functionally with design, product, and engineering partners to evaluate builds and support visual QA initiatives Conduct visual and guideline-based reviews of product builds using established test cases and design standards Document findings and file actionable issues within established tracking workflows Support pre-launch bug bashes and communicate insights and recommendations Review product implementations against visual standards and design guidelines Contribute to defining and refining visual QA workflows, processes, and testing environments Participate in establishing foundational visual QA elements, including test cases and process structure Partner with stakeholders to clarify expectations around quality benchmarks Support refinement of guidelines and evaluation practices as the system evolves Develop working knowledge of the design system’s structure and nuances Apply analytical and systems-level thinking when navigating evolving processes Operate independently while maintaining alignment with cross-functional teams Required Qualifications Experience in Quality Assurance, visual QA, UX review, or related product validation roles Ability to interpret design guidelines and apply structured test case evaluation Experience in filing, tracking, and communicating product issues effectively Comfort working independently in ambiguous or evolving environments Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to collaborate across product, design, and engineering teams Preferred Qualifications Experience working with design systems or visual design validation Familiarity with reviewing Figma prototypes or visual specifications Exposure to digital product development workflows or UX processes Experience contributing to process definition or operational setup Consent to SMS and Phone Call Communications By submitting your application, you acknowledge and consent to Purple, Rock, Scissors (PRPL) collecting and using your email address and phone number for recruitment communication purposes.
