Locations: NY City, NY/Los Angeles, CA (Day 1 onsite)
Duration: 6-12+ Months
Job Description:
- Create, review, and execute test cases based upon functional and software design specifications
- Work closely with cross functional teams to understand the product requirements and use cases in order to deliver high quality software on an aggressive time line
- Perform ad-hoc and regression testing of system components that are potentially affected by changes to application/system and introduction of new features/functionality
- Interface with 3rd parties, such as 3rd party software development companies, offshore system integrators etc
- Be responsible for following through and making sure defects are reported and escalated appropriately
- Work to identify missing test cases and refine existing scripts for modularity and automation purposes
- Estimate and prioritize work for optimal risk mitigation and identify suitable regression suites
- Provide clear and detailed test status and risk assessment and communicate overall project health status
Requirements:
- BS degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- 7 or more years Software QA experience with retail/store systems
- Must have experience with retail POS integration testing.
- Strong experience with design, develop and execute tests for Fixed and Mobile Point of Sale (Micros/Xstore etc)
- Perform backend testing using SQL queries to validate the data integrity of the application.
- Experience with Xunit test automation scripting would be a plus
- Testing in a highly integrated environment
- Functional and System Requirements Analysis
- Demonstrated expertise with Software QA processes and industry-best practices
- Working experience with JIRA/Zephyr
- Role is required to be on site due to hardware limitation.
